Lightning

Lightning is an electric current. Within a thundercloud way up in the sky, many small bits of ice (frozen raindrops) bump into each other as they move around in the air. All of those collisions create an electric charge. After a while, the whole cloud fills up with electrical charges.

First of all lightning is caused by clouds that are filled with many little iced rain drops and when these rain drops bump into each other and electrical charge is formed. Then eventually the whole fills up with electrical charges which gets heavier and more negative until they fall out of the clouds like rain forming electricity bolts that strikes metal trees or other objects that attract it.

Second of all lightning is dangerous and hardly any people who have been struck by lightning survived. Lightning is approximately 54,OOO degrees which is six time hotter than the surface of the sun wonder why they didn’t survive.

Last of all lightning can be useful in many ways, one of the important ways that lightning is useful is how it fertilizes the soil that we humans use to grow plants but how does it do this? It does this because the atoms in the lightning that struck the soil mixes with the minerals in the soil and then it goes into the plant or the animal that eats the plant which can include us causing our body to have enough nitrogen.
Now you see how lightning can be useful and dangerous learn more and go study the importance of lightning.
